Le don a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement remis par Son Excellence l\u2019Ambassadeur du Canada au Burkina Faso, Lee-Anne Hermann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce sont au total 673 250 doses du vaccin johnson and johnson que le Gouvernement du Canada a donn\u00e9, par l\u2019entremise de l\u2019Unicef, au minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et de l\u2019Hygi\u00e8ne publique. Ces doses de vaccin, selon Dr Robert Kargougou, seront distribu\u00e9es aux diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions et contribueront fortement \u00e0 renforcer la disponibilit\u00e9 de vaccin au plan national. \u00ab Je saisis cette opportunit\u00e9 pour recommander vivement \u00e0 toutes les personnes concern\u00e9es de se rendre dans les sites de vaccination pour recevoir leur dose de vaccin sur toute l\u2019\u00e9tendue du territoire national \u00bb, a relev\u00e9 le ministre de la Sant\u00e9 et de l\u2019Hygi\u00e8ne publique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depuis le lancement de la campagne de vaccination, le 02 juin 2021 jusqu\u2019au 27 ao\u00fbt 2022, plus de 2 073 165 personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement vaccin\u00e9es. Pour le premier responsable du d\u00e9partement de la Sant\u00e9, le Burkina Faso a durement \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9prouv\u00e9 et continue de faire face aux cons\u00e9quences sanitaires et \u00e9conomiques de la pand\u00e9mie de la COVID-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab A la date du 04 septembre 2022, le pays enregistre 21 479 cas cumul\u00e9s dont malheureusement 387 d\u00e9c\u00e8s li\u00e9s \u00e0 la COVID-19 et cette situation demeure pr\u00e9occupante avec l\u2019apparition de variants dans la sous-r\u00e9gion \u00bb a-t-il soulign\u00e9. Il a remerci\u00e9 l\u2019initiative COVAX gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 laquelle le Burkina Faso re\u00e7oit ces vaccins et les partenaires au d\u00e9veloppement qui ne m\u00e9nagent aucun effort pour appuyer le d\u00e9ploiement et la mise en \u0153uvre de la vaccination.
